La Charmante
is a charming and friendly guest house set in the pretty village
of Albine situated at the foot of the Black Mountain, bordering Languedoc-Roussillon in the south of France.
Delightfully typical of this enchanting region, it's the perfect place
to relax during the long, balmy summers or explore
the incredible natural scenery in the colourful spring or autumn.
A short walk
from the house of about twenty minutes and you find a lovely swimming and fishing lake. There's a play park for younger children and an excellent snack-bar
serving anything from sandwiches and beer to a full three-course dinner with wine. They have
a beautiful terrace overlooking the lake which stays open everyday in the

We're fully registered with Gites-de-France. Our accommodation sleeps up to 8 people in 3 separate rooms,
one double, one twin and a huge family room. All have facilities 'en suite'. [more]
There's a wealth of outdoor pursuits for the hyper-active. Yet for those of a more leisurely nature, captivating walks in the natural forests are close by. The area has countless other diversions full of local character where you can while away those precious holiday moments in perfect bliss. [more]

The local area
Mazamet is the local market town with all the needed shops and facilities just 15 minutes away. It's well known as one of the main southern gateways to the Regional National Park of Haut Languedoc, an incredibly pretty vacation region. For those missing the urban life from there you can catch a train to Toulouse, France’s fourth biggest city.
