Not coming to France this year and looking for a great place to stay in Spain? Much as we'd love to see all of our visitors back every year we do realise that it's nice to have a change now and again. Sometimes we're asked about other place and if we've 'contacts' in the trade elsewhere. Well there's one place in Mallorca that we know and recommend personally. Is there a laundrette or any laundry facilities nearby? We have a laundrette in Mazamet which is 15mins from Albine and is open 24hrs every day. |

What other shops are there in Albine - is there a bank and a chemist? Although we dont have a bank or chemist in Albine we do have in the next village which is only a 5min drive from here. |

What's your dog's name and is he okay? The dog is called Vince and is the most obedient animal I have ever owned, he sometimes goes walking with the guests as he does not need a lead and comes when called. The last time he went with guests they got lost and it was Vince who showed them the way home (maybe should have called him Lassie). (Asked by Peter de Pradines - Jan 05) |

How far is the nearest shop? There's a good general shop just two minutes walk from the house. It's open "all hours" - opening very early in the morning at 7.30 am. It stays open all morning until mid-day then closes for lunch, re-opening at 4.30 until quite late - 7.00 pm. (From Mr Lecky Jan05) |

Can I hire a car in Albine Sorry we dont have a car hire here but you are able to hire a car in Mazamet at very reasonable rates |

What products can I buy at the local shop? Most things are available, wines, cheeses, bread, milk etc and some small gifts but be aware she charges for being "open all hours" |

What are your earliest check-in and latest check-out times, please? Check in is from 5pm and check out is not later than 12noon, but as we are a family run business we can be flexable with prior notice |

Do you accept credit cards aor bank transfers? We can accept bank transfers but unfortunately not credit cards. |

i like active holiday breaks. Is there an opportunity for DIY? Yes of course, this is a perfect place for D.I.Y and at no extra charge. Just let us know your speciality and we can organise something suitable for you. |

Do you have Bailey's in the Chambre D' Hote? Sorry we dont, as we dont have a licence, but if you wish to bring some with you and enjoy it in the garden we would have no objection to that. |
